Opening 12th December and wonderfully located just a few minutes from the busy, pedestrian centre of Chamonix this newly refurbished 4* hotel is well placed for quick access to the slopes via the Aiguille du Midi cable car.
Le Refuge des Aiglons is a family hotel that caters for children including a play area and it has a lovely outdoor pool heated to 28˚C as well as a health suite and fitness room. The health suite is also open to the little ones from 6 years and older with treatments like a 15 minute foot massage.
Some of the rooms have balconies overlooking the majestic Mont Blanc. As you’d expect, ski lessons are available and there’s a boot room in the hotel. The children can be collected from the hotel and whisked straight to their lessons, if required.

Geneva (Airport Code: GVA) 88km by taxi or hire a car. Save a lot of money by taking the EasyBus (just €10 return) or AlpyBus (more expensive at €49 return) from the airport to Chamonix.
Then there’s the winter airport only at Chambery (Airport Code: CMF) which is around 90mins drive away and also served by ski buses.
Alternatively, take the snow train and disembark at Saint-Gervais les Bains which is just 20km from Chamonix.
