Opened 11th December, this stunning boutique hotel is located in the cultural hub of Amsterdam overlooking the IJ river and historical centre and is based on Sir Adam, the music junkie, who had a talent for creating music and harmonious connections. 

Accordingly, the Sir Adam Hotel is like Amsterdam:  cool, edgy, creative, culturally rich and a little naughty and always interesting.  

Sir Adam’s main entrance is steps away from the Central Station ferry and sits upon a broad riverside terrace, as well as a bike path.   With a passion for music, Sir Adam is also endowed with a rich tradition of hospitality and with the most unique sleeping experience and amazing views of the sunset from the rooms this quirky hotel won’t disappoint. 

 Also known as A’DAM Toren Tower Sir Adam shares its tower home with the headquarters of several music and entertainment companies, including ID&T, MassiveMusic and guitar manufacturer Gibson. A restaurant, terrace, roof-top bar and a night bar that is open 24/7 topped with a quirky twist, guaranteed to have a great night partying.      

All 108 rooms have beautiful river views and are decorated in a funky, slick style featuring work from local artists including mirrors etched with famous music lyrics from Sir Adam’s favourite songs.   The rooms have floor to ceiling panoramic views complete with Crosley turntable in each room – so don’t forget your vinyls!

Perched on a broad riverside terrace (as well as a bike path), Sir Adam’s mobile bar will serve outdoor guests from sun up to sundown.  Inside, ICRAVE the design company tasted with Sir Adam’s invention, envisioned a ‘living lobby’ as a vibrant, event-ready space that is as much for the community as it is for guests.

The living lobby known as the Butcher Social Club – the latest outpost of the Butcher brand – is a staple in the Amsterdam food and nightlife scene. The space is adorned with eclectic lounge areas, game tables, swing seats, a two-story living green wall, original murals and artwork. The Butcher Social Club and Terrace is open from 7am until after Midnight but the time to really party is the weekend when both are open 24 hours. 

Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or midnight snack. The venue is a casual place with an island bar and DJ, a burger joint, a chill out lounge area equipped with adult amenities such as a pool table, ping pong and a soccer table. The venue’s terrace faces the IJ River.   

On the mezzanine overlooking the Butcher Social Club, Sir Adam welcomes guests at The Hub, a great gathering venue and retail experience that showcases unique products made by Amsterdam creatives, and eclectic gear for music junkies. Also on the mezzanine - guests can listen to Sir Adam’s favourite sounds in The Music Library, featuring a curated collection of new and exclusive tracks all accessible by Bluetooth.   

A spiral staircase connects the mezzanine to the roof, home of The Beer Garden and the Decks. The garden roof features a variety of Amsterdam’s best beverages amidst seasonal sculptures, landscaping, and unparalleled panoramic views of the city’s centre.   

Bikes are available to hire from the hotel but if you prefer to walk here’s an idea of distances: ·  The old Church (15 minute walk)  Dam Square (15 minute walk)   New Church (18 minute walk)   Royal Palace (20 minute walk)   Nemo Science Museum (20 minute walk).
