Luxury Stranger at Mist Rolling Inn, Nottingham (with support)
Mist Rolling Inn · Nottingham
Luxury Stranger return to play a 'home' show as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations. Special guests are to be announced... Luxury Stranger is an independent dark post-punk / rock influenced band with one eye on the past and the other always looking towards the future... Formed in 2006 by singer/songwriter Simon York, "easily one of the finest vocalists in the UK" (Reflections of Darkness magazine), the band has toured extensively across the UK and on the mainland, and shared the stage with legends... Since the Pandemic, LS have been recovering from several personal traumas while also working on a new album and playing live shows when possible. Now, the band is ready to return to its place as "one of the UK's stand out dark alternative acts” (Sphere Magazine). "York's voice with its raucous timbre reminded more of the one of a rock singer. But it also gave the song a bolshie appearance... proof that York's voice could shine even brighter on atmospherically calm songs." (live review, Reflections of Darkness magazine) "Think of early U2 when they were still good. This is of that calibre." (Penny Black Music magazine) "...they just do the song thing so well..." (Mick Mercer)...
