Rob Halligan - How did we get here?

St Nicholas' Church · Beverley

It's 25 years since the attack on the Twin Towers on 9/11. Singer-songwriter Rob Halligan's father was on the 99th floor of the South Tower and died in the attack. Those events have shaped Rob's songwriting ever since. For this special tour, Rob uses his music to tell his own story, and also to tell the story of how he came to terms with what happened, and how ultimately love has to win over hate. This will be a very special night, and we hope that you can join us for it.

This is a story that smashes a hole through the headlines and shows that in each of us there pulses the same vulnerable, resilient heart, striving to make sense of this intricate world. In 2001, Rob Halligan lost his father in the 9/11 terror attacks. A week later he found himself in New York City on the start of a journey, trying to make sense of what he’d seen. From a dysfunctional childhood and life on the stre...
