An Audience with Chris Moss is on Saturday 5 December 2026 at The Bookstop, Saint Helens, with doors at 13:15. Tickets start at £11, including the booking fee.
Meet the author of “Lancashire: Exploring the Historic County that Made the Modern World” He came to The Bookstop to talk about this book and now he returns to the town to present “Where Tourists Seldom Tread: Postcards from Bypassed Britain” One of the towns Chris Moss doesn’t bypass is St Helens which triumphantly concludes this collection of travel explorations, - and Chris will be with us at The Bookstop on December 5th to talk about his new book and answer questions about his travels and writing. He has generously allowed “Glass Eye” to use the occasion of his visit to the town as a fund-raiser, and tickets for the event will be £10. Chris will sign copies of the book for people buying it on the day, and it is quite a must-read as well as being an excellent Christmas present for friends and family who enjoy visiting unusual locations and travel. The event starts at 1.30 at the Bookstop on Bridge Street, St Helens. Tickets will be available on the afternoon but advanced booking can be made at [web-link and QR code]
