About this event

An evening highlighting the best of French choral music. Firstly Vierne's Messe Solennelle widely regarded as one of the finest masterpieces of late Romantic French sacred music. Secondly to celebrate St Cecilia's Day, we are singing Gounod's Messe Solennelle en l'honneur de Sainte Cecile celebrated for its rich operatic lyricism and its deeply moving Sanctus movement. Finally the much loved Cantique de Jean Racine by Faure.
