Two time MCMA Roots Duo/Group of the Year, Two Crows for Comfort, are a touring folk/Americana duo from the prairie wonderland of Manitoba, Canada. Playing well over one hundred shows each year, these troubadours spend most of their time on the road in a 20 foot camper with their 90 pound rescue dog, Elliot. They’ve become known for not only their powerful lead vocals, intricate harmonies and unique arrangements but also their comedic yet poignant storytelling and off-the-cuff stage banter that has folks smiling long after the night is over. They've been seen at festivals across Canada, the US, Europe and the UK including the Winnipeg Folk Festival (MB), Maverick Americana Festival (UK), Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival (TX), Black Bear Americana Festival (CT), and the Blueberry Festival (AK) and have opened for the likes of Bruce Cockburn, Ani DiFranco, David Amram, and Pokey LaFarge. An evening with David Ford at Cafe No9 (2nd night added)

Cafe No9 · Sheffield

David Ford: Songbook Highlights and stories from 25 years of songwriting David Ford’s Songbook tour is a stripped-back, intimate evening built around 25 years of songwriting. Part live set, part storytelling, he revisits the songs that have shaped his career, sharing the moments and influences behind them along the way. It’s a relaxed, engaging show—just Ford, the songs, and the stories—moving easily between raw, powerful performances and quieter, more reflective moments, with plenty of warmth and humour throughout. The tour accompanies the release of a special career-spanning retrospective double vinyl, bringing together some of the standout songs from his catalogue. Featuring a mix of updated recordings and remastered originals, it’s Ford’s own selection of his most important work, compiled in one place for the first time—and the live show offers a chance to hear those songs as they were meant to be experienced, up close and in the moment. Don't miss it. ********************************************************************************** Please note this ticket price DOES include a BYOB fee should you wish to bring alcohol to the venue. An evening with Dana Robinson at Cafe No9

Cafe No9 · Sheffield

DANA ROBINSON - Songwriter | Americana | Old-Time Richard Dana Robinson was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1961, and raised in the Bay Area of California. His childhood and teen years were infused with the music of the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, Neil Young and the popular singer-songwriters of the 70s. Dana took up the guitar at ten years old and began writing songs emulating the sounds he was absorbing. In 1977, Dana spent his sophomore year of high school in London and was exposed to the punk scene and prog rock bands of the time, which became an undercurrent to his attitude and musical style. From 1979 to 1983 Dana hitchhiked relentlessly across the western United States, restless and looking for a place to take root. In 1984 after a summer spent busking around Europe he found a home in Northampton, Massachusetts. Dana took a job cooking at The Iron Horse, an intimate, 100-seat music club. There he witnessed performances from some of the great songwriters and musicians of the time. Artists such as Shawn Colvin, Loudon Wainwright, Bill Staines, Martin Simpson and Doc Watson provided live examples of how one person, armed with a guitar, could move an audience and make...
