Drawing on their shared history as keyboard players with Dead Can Dance, Astrid Williamson and Jules Maxwell, join forces to create an evening of evocative folk-infused electronics and neoclassical elegance. Performing songs from Williamson’s acclaimed album Shetland Suite (voted #1 folk album of 2024 by Mojo Magazine) and Maxwell’s instrumental Nocturnes album (described by Brendan Perry as “A beautiful work of reflective, sophisticated elegance”), Williamson and Maxwell create a mesmerising, deeply moving sonic space where haunting melodies, cyclical rhythms and cinematic depth collide. Astrid Williamson rose to prominence in the early 1990s as part of indie trio Goya Dress and over a thirty year career has collaborated with John Cale (Velvet Underground), Johnny Marr & Bernard Sumner (as part of Electronic), Arthur Baker, Stereophonics, Leo Abrahams, This Mortal Coil/ Hope Blister originator Ivo Watts- Russell, and Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance/Hans Zimmer). She appeared in Rob Newman’s BBC comedy series The History of The World Backwards as musical director, song arranger and performer and her songs have featured in films including Bill Forsyth’s Gregory’s Two Girl...

A Different Thread

Green Note · London

Some things are just meant to be. Alicia Best (US) and Robert Jackson (UK) met while busking on the cobbled streets of Ireland and discovered both a musical and personal harmony that was serendipitous. In the decade since forming A Different Thread, Best and Jackson have taken their act on the road, touring over a dozen countries, supporting artists such as Milk Carton Kids and Jody Stephens (Big Star), and garnering critical praise from the likes of Folk Radio UK, which hailed the duo as “warm, deep songwriters that have drank from the well of 20th century tradition.” Their sound is transcontinental, blending Jackson's British folk rock background with Best's North Carolina-bred alt-country melodies. Informed by their life experiences (navigating visas, vanlife, love across oceans) and liberal commentary on both environmental and social justice topics. While inspired by artists like Gillian Welch, The Avett Brothers, and John Prine, A Different Thread maintain a distinct sound that is all their own.

Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best

Green Note · London

‘What do you get when you have an Englishman from Birmingham, UK, playing the sort of vintage two-steppin' tunes that country's founding fathers would be proud of? The unique and intriguing sound of Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best.’ – (Holler.) Putting in the hours - that’s how the greats crack the code. It’s a tried-and-true path, but one that demands total dedication and serious talent. Dom Glynn has both in spades. In his early twenties, this singing, guitar-slinging Brit was already living for and off music, playing endless sets of songs by his American heroes in music bars and venues in and around London. He’s since mastered the canon of classic country music and has been inspired to write his own future standards. Now, armed with those songs and his band His Sunday Best, in 2025 he’s been hitting the road for the first time, with a tour of The Netherlands and Germany in July and a UK tour in September. Now 28, Glynn already has several releases under his belt, and a new album is set to drop on August 22nd. His songwriting echoes the spirit of legends like Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr., while his guitar work recalls the elegant fingerpicking of Mississippi John H...
