About this event

Braw Gigs Presents: 4th World Magazine + Monopoly Star Child Searchers (aka. Spencer Clark) is on Sunday 8 November 2026 at Home Bar, Edinburgh, with doors at 19:30. Tickets start at £14.30, including the booking fee.

4th World Magazine aka. Spencer Clark, is a legend in the DIY tape and cd/r underground since the early 00s and as a founding member of The Skaters, alongside James Ferraro. Spencer’s output spans avant-garde electronic music, modern lo-fi exotica, industrial revivals, and hypnagogic pop. Releases often involve deep concepts, referencing themes like ufology, maritime cinema, science-fiction and ancient civilizations. With countless monikers and recording names, Pacific City Sound Visions has been his ongoing label, pumping out some of the most esoteric listening of the last few decades. I’m very pleased to welcome him back to Edinburgh since our gig at Summerhall back in 2017. Unfortunately Heather Leigh can no longer play so Spencer will be doing two different sets as Monopoly Star Child Searchers and as 4th World Magazine. Firas Khnaisser is a Syrian/Lebanese performance artist and musician based in Edinburgh. His work is informed by themes of colonialism, pop culture, myth and ritual. His practice centres on performance and free improvisation using electro-acoustic instruments, found objects and found sounds. He hosts TFEH, an experimental concert series at the Fruitmarket i...

Ordinary Giants

Labour Club · Glossop

Ordinary Giants is a song suite by acclaimed songwriter Robb Johnson based on the life and times of his father, Ron Johnson. A family history of the 1930s, the Second World War and the Welfare State — told through songs, spoken word, personal memory and the lives of ordinary people. There are songs and spoken-word pieces about the social realities of the 1930s, the growth of fascism, the experience of the Second World War, the NHS, comprehensive schools, anti-racism and attacks on the Welfare State by the Right. Some of the songs are funny, some are sad, some are love songs and some are political satires.
