Walthamstow's premier jazz night featuring London and the UK's finest musicians presents an EFG London Jazz Festival special! Reminiscing In Tempo is a new project featuring freewheeling reinterpretations of the music of Duke Ellington that has been put together specially for EFG London Jazz Festival by Jazz at Trades. Ellington’s music was constantly in flux, with many of his well known compositions being rearranged over and over again throughout his career (his first opportunity to record long form versions of his compositions on 1951’s Masterpieces By Ellington features an 11 minute long arrangement of Sophisticated Lady, that is almost symphonic in scope).
