Craven are a beautiful, dark Frankenstein´s monster of British folk music. Their music is grinding and symphonic, but also delicate and ethereal. Their sound draws far and wide from punk, electronic music, and film music as well as traditional music from both Europe and the wider world. The band who are on a UK tour to promote their new album 'The Fruits Of Idleness, Death and Disgrace' takes traditional music and upends it, using word-painting to create sound-worlds for age-old stories. From songs exploring transness, queerness, yearning and bitterness, to white-hot rage against injustice, Craven make a beautiful Frankenstein´s Monster of British folk music. Craven’s performances leave you speechless and tearful, engrossing audiences from many genres and backgrounds. Their music is an exploration into the ideas and opportunities of what is possible for folk music. Craven comprises Will Bremner (Accordions), Elian Moisey (Double Bass, Viola da Gamba) and Rhiannon Takel (Violin, Octave Mandola, Harmonium). WeirdDog presents RAMJAC @ Things Happen Here

Things Happen Here · Dartington

One of the UK's unsung electronic pioneers, Ramjac forged his reputation through voltaic live performances during the 1988-89 acid house explosion, manipulating samples in real time via Atari and EMU sampler. These no-frills subterranean sets became a fixture at illegal parties - Back to the Future, Sunrise, Energy, and World Dance - and at the underground Fun-Da-Mental and Spiral Tribe events. Hauling his Atari rig past police roadblocks to raves, squat parties and clubs across London and the Southeast, Ramjac then toured more widely with Orbital, The Shamen, and Irresistible Force. Ramjac's recent return includes over 50 live shows at venues across the south of the UK, and performances in Osaka, Toronto, and San Francisco. Ahead of its time, his sound aligns with the renewed interest in the breaks and electronica of the ‘90's (think Black Dog, Aphex, Orbital). Ramjac continues to perform at left-field events while targeting a wider audience in 2025/2026.
