Los Fastidios
Dublin Castle · London
The return to The Dublin Castle Live of lLos Fastidios… LOS FASTIDIOS are a legendary streetska/punk band from Verona, Italy, on the road and wowing crowds since 1991. Perfect Dublin Castle fare needless to say! And yes, they rammed us out and out on an incredible matinee into early evening show with us last year, and we’re very pleased to welcome them back for more early doors Sunday skanking fun this year. They have been touring the world since 1991, with Enrico, the original lead singer, now joined by Elisa Dixan's sweet voice and cool vibes since 2018, which has given the band a sassy new lease of life. Lots of energy, great tunes, proper entertainment! Rookie Numbers - another joyous young ska band, from luverly Leeds. This 7 piece has knocked em dead at Skabour, and at Madness’ last House Of Fun. They call it Ska -Rave and really does have a gurn friendly element alongside the skankability… so get on one matey and wine up ya hip skiddlee dip while you’re at it.

Iona Lane
Green Note · London
Swilkie is the new album from Highlands-based songwriter Iona Lane. Charting at #23 in the Official Folk Album Charts, Swilkie weaves ecology, conservation, islands and folklore into poetic songs and contemplative melodies. Written during three residencies on the Isle of Eigg, Isle of Mull and Sanday in Orkney, sense of place and landscape are at the core of these songs. From basking sharks to lighthouses, lichen to vanishing islands, curlews to tree planting; the album was recorded in a boathouse on the West Coast of Scotland and the eager listener may even hear the lapping sound of the tide murmuring through the album. Iona’s connection to places by the sea is translated through these songs with evolving vocal melodies, subtle guitar and droning shruti box. “It stopped me in my tracks when I first heard it… Haunting, touching, atmospheric, loving it!” – Mark Radcliffe BBCR2 “Swilkie is a masterful album full of heartfelt emotion and breathtaking songwriting” – KLOF Mag “Swilkie is evocative of coastline, nature & history, much like the sound of wind & sea reflecting Iona’s airy, light & gentle voice.” – RnR

TARA CLERKIN TRIO
Scala · London
TARA CLERKIN TRIO formed in Bristol (where none of them are from yet all of whom are deeply engrained) in 2020. Despite the singular authority implied by its name, they consist of the titular Tara Clerkin, her partner Sunny Joe Paradisos, and Sunny’s brother, Patrick Benjamin. With two extraordinary mini-albums – In Spring (2021) and On The Turning Ground (2023) – making a splash on London’s formidable World of Echo label in wake of their self-titled 2020 debut, their new album Somewhere Good LP is in many ways the band’s most realised work. In running their usual gauntlet of idiosyncratic (*an overused adjective for which here there is regrettably no sufficient alternative) approaches, Clerkin & Co. color in and outside of compositional lines over the course of 40+ celebratory minutes - never wallowing, despite inherently somber subject matters of self-defeat, disease, displacement, restlessness, gentrification - allowing their arrangements and improvisations ample space and time to situate, stretch out, breathe, cross-pollinate, and ultimately take deeper hold on the listener’s imagination – all while somehow sounding more like themselves than ever before. There are...
