NAOMI IN BLUE Album Launch of IS THIS BODY MINE?

Walthamstow Trades Hall · London

Raw, soulful, intimately moving, British-Chilean artist Naomi in Blue is a striking journey into guitar-driven power, introspective folk, nueva canción and shades of americana, all anchored in Naomi’s remarkable voice. Following the release of 2021’s debut EP An Experiment and 2024’s follow-up It Takes Time, Naomi has honed the clarion call of her songwriting skill through headline shows at the historic 1000-cap el Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris and el Foro del Tejedor in Mexico City, a joint UK headline tour with acclaimed Chilean band Matorral. She will be celebrating the release of her debut album, Is This Body Mine? (out on Man Made Tigers) at the Trades Hall, where the original recording band will perform the album together live. With jabo in support.

"Experimental music, improvisation, sound, art and performance. Live sets from Furrowed (Brighton) & Colin Webster (London), Hannah Dargavel-Leafe (Walthamstow) and Karina Townsend (London). Furrowed presents live lathe cutting, sampling Colin Webster's abstract saxophone improvisation, a first meeting in a brand new collaboration. Hannah Dargavel-Leafe performs on turntables, sampling field recordings taken at a shipwreck mixed with live wind. Karina Townsend explores continuous systems with careful modulation, walking a tightrope where things can break or behave unexpectedly. Trigger warning: DIY bagpipes! Weeknight friendly 10pm finish. The Rheingans Sisters

Green Note · London

Critics have hailed their music as “extraordinary” and “fearless”, with The Guardian describing their 2024 album Start Close In as a “radical leap”. In three special live shows this Autumn at Camden’s best small music venue, The Rheingans Sisters will revisit material from their five-album discography to celebrate their life’s work together so far as well as showcasing new material from the duo plus both sisters’ solo songwriting. In these uniquely stripped back and intimate shows, expect the haunting BBC Radio 2 Folk Award-winning song Mackerel to finally return alongside the timeless beauty of old classics like October Song, the epic balladry of This Forest and the wildness of Urjen plus brand new songs from both Rowan and Anna. A decade and a half of sisterly artistry distilled into a breathtaking evening; a chance to glimpse back with The Rheingans Sisters before their next leap forward.
