About this event

Healthy Junkies is on Sunday 22 November 2026 at Dublin Castle, London, with doors at 13:30. Tickets start at £6.60, including the booking fee.

Healthy Junkies - they’ve been around a few years now but these thermonuclear powered grunge punk alterno dynamos just go from strength to strength. Always a totally committed performance that leaves your ears throbbing, your head spinning and your mind fully saturated with punk rock joy. Excellent band. Neovenator - the best band named after a dinosaur since Bolan boogied, these guys seem to be a semblance of The Who in conflagration with The Stranglers, playing Blur like songs in the style of The Subhumans. Ok nothing like that. Very good tho. Gripper Lee - post punk and Goff flavours with a powerhouse delivery. Named of course after the blind one from Peters and Lee who was also the only sightless wrestler to kick Big Daddy’s ass on World of Sport back in the day. Tony Buggerbear supplied the hot nuggets in between sets.

Jeff Slate And Friends

Dublin Castle · London

Jeff Slate And Friends- Album Launch Featuring Members of Paul Wellers band Ever since he was a wee lad, Jeff Slate has been about the riffs. His obsession kicked off with his band the Mindless Thinkers, on to The Badge and can’t stop/won’t stop with his solo work, which has included work with Pete Townshend, Roger McGuinn, Sheryl Crow, Jeff Tweedy, Margo Price and others. His most recent album, The Last Day of Summer, included guest turns from a who’s who of rock royalty and was called “an album of classy, Greenwich Village scented folk and soul” by Mojo. Slate has quite possibly written the book on Roy Orbison, a memoir with guitar slinger Earl Slick, more liner notes than a normal human could possibly consume – including projects for the Beatles, the Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and more – and is a guest “rock ‘n’ roll expert” for Sirius XM. He’s even interviewed Bob Dylan. The Targets - The Targets - bluesy grooves and punky pop songs with a modernist leaning , for fans of the Feelgoods and the Hot Rods.

The Green Ribbon Club

Dublin Castle · London

The Green Ribbon Club -The Green Ribbon Club play acoustic punk music, taking their inspiration from the rich heritage of non-conformism, equality, creativity and subversion that infuses the darker recesses of British history. The original Green Ribbon Club was Britain’s first political opposition party, set up by people more commonly know as Levellers. Many soldiers in the Parliamentary army unionised, they wore Green Ribbons or sprigs of Rosemary to signify their allegiance. These fine people are their musical, spiritual descendants. Bravo. Punk Roth - is that Wrath or Roth…well punky David Lee Roth could be the vibe here as it goes! Van Halen for Libertines heads! Deerbow - energised and energetic young band with an Arctic Monkeys meets Muse dynamic indie rock style. Peacock - lively and expressive funky rockers…orcrocking funkateers- either way a spiffing way to kick off the night. Loose Cannons - Loose Cannons is an originals Indie Rock band based in London, with music that ranges from dark melancholy to catchy upbeat. They channel 90s rock with a modern twist and sing about the complexity, nuances, pain and joy of life’s experiences…

Joe Kash

Dublin Castle · London

Joe Kash - urgent punky blues and folk tinged fare, often driven along by some searing slide guitar. Rootsy but rousing! Craic Killers - Politically engaged but witty London based Irish punker satirists with some superb in yer face agit punk statements and artful experimental passages attached to primal riffing workouts. Nice. Like Kneecap got in a scrum with the Lambrini Girls and Rudimentary Peni! FOGG- rock electro trio…World travellers, sound explorers, reptilian rockers and experimenters. FOGG is a brutal machine, heavy and synthesized with elegant and delicat lumps. They mix electronic music and its aerial textures with the burning fire coming out of a deep and groovy rock tune Their musical universe finds itself between the enchanted melodies of a Radiohead, the violent rock of a Led Zeppelin and the obsessive sequences of a Gesaffelstein. Mézinc - keys and drummer electronica with big beats… Ia drum/techno duo to blow away the cobwebs as the gig unfolds!

Liverpool2London

Dublin Castle · London

Vernons Future - Vernons Future have history back to indie’s golden age in 1980’s Liverpool, and they bring indie guitar pop of the old school - a mix of classic guitar jangle, with hints of 60s psychedelia. Acclaimed debut album ‘Smithdown Road’ (Melody Maker said it was “a fine debut in love with pop at its most unassuming and most charming”) came out on legendary Liverpool label Probe Plus in 1990, then The Vernons (as they were then known) promptly split before resurfacing in 2015 in Oxford/London as Vernons Future, releasing sophomore album ‘Aquaplaning’ and further standalone singles. St Vitus Dance are an acclaimed Belfast-formed post-punk/indie-pop band (est. 1981) known for their 60s-influenced sound, witty lyrics about Belfast life, and the 1987 album ‘Love Me, Love My Dogma’. Fronted by vocalist Noel Burke — who later joined Echo & The Bunnymen as singer-songwriter — the band moved to Liverpool, split in 1988, and reformed in 2005. In 2025, the band toured with Noel Burke to perform the 1990 Echo & The Bunnymen album Reverberation in full, with plans for new, original St Vitus Dance material in 2026, to follow on from the Probe Plus 2008 Glypotheq...

THE GIFT and THE ROUND WINDOW

The Camden Club · London

THE GIFT are regarded by some as ‘the best kept secret’ in progressive and art rock. Back in the early noughties their first album ‘Awake & Dreaming’ impressed those in the know with its heady mixture of ‘70s style and contemporary soundscapes. Then there was silence...until the band reformed and released 2014’s “Land of Shadows”, an ambitious song suite packed with strong melodies and multi-layered instrumental workouts. In 2016 The Gift released their 3rd album, ‘Why The Sea Is Salt’, which Prog magazine described as a ‘masterpiece’. It fused symphonic, long form suites with tasteful shorter songs, and featured luminaries Steve Hackett and Anthony Phillips as guest musicians. In 2019 The Gift released their 4th album ‘Antenna’, which was even harder hitting than before whilst still retaining their signature sound. Then the pandemic brought silence, as well as lineup changes. But it didn’t stop the songs. For the last few years The Gift has been busy creating and recording their 5th album ‘Seven Seasons’. Inspired by Shakespeare’s ode to our mortal experience, it explores the stages of life from birth until the end of days. Like the human condit...

Matinée Show: Jaimee Harris

Green Note · London

Jaimee Harris’s sophomore effort Boomerang Town marks a bold step forward for this country-folk-leaning singer-songwriter. It is an arresting, ambitious song-cycle that explores the generational arc of family, the stranglehold of addiction, and the fragile ties that bind us together as Americans. Harris began cultivating Boomerang Town in 2016, a time of great loss for many in the Americana community, with the songwriter losing several musicians close to her. A shift in the nation’s political landscape had ushered in a new level of cultural polarization and for someone who grew up in a small town outside of Waco, Texas, Harris believed the values instilled by her parents were not entirely in line with how many were viewing, and vilifying, Christians. As a person in recovery, Harris has had to re-evaluate her own connection to faith and find strength in a higher power. It was from the intersection of these social, personal, and political currents that the album was born. While themes of addiction and grief permeate sections of the record, it echoes hope in the face of the darkness. Out February 17th, Boomerang Town understands that love and grief are two sides of the same coin.
