Doors open 7.30 pm, music from 8.00 pm. PAPER FENCE is the musical partnership of Hannah and Nick Harris.. Hannah is a singer and songwriter with a starkly original voice, merging jazz and the darker side of roots & country into her own atmospheric, cinematic sound. Nick is well known on the grassroots music scene as a mixer and producer of critically lauded albums by the likes of Minnie Birch and Alvarez Theory. They come together to create haunting evocative music underpinned by jazz influenced grooves and classic songwriting.

As she taps into folk ballads and fairytales, she introduces a colourful cast of scorned wives, sheltered princesses, free-spirited poets, and crossdressing adventurers, shedding a new light on timeless tales. Her upcoming single ‘When the lost god speaks’ was commissioned by the National Trust and will be available on all streaming platforms on 16 October 2026.

Henry Taylour is a folk artist from Oxfordshire in the UK. Having released 2 EPs, his third EP ‘Aftersun' was described by Clash Magazine as ‘re-contextualising folk tropes while adding pop directness.’ Following a spell in East Africa, Henry’s debut album ‘A Relentless Pursuit of Happiness’, produced by Taylour and Ryan Samuel Bentley (Jake Bugg), was released in February 2025.

London soul artist Nate Simpson brings the timeless sound of Marvin Gaye to Boisdale with his acclaimed show The Songbook of Marvin Gaye. Having starred in Motown the Musical in the West End and performed as Young Bob Marley in Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical, Nate brings both theatrical craft and vocal mastery to the stage. His set revisits Gaye’s defining works including “What’s Going On”, “Let’s Get It On”, “I Heard It Through the Grapevine”, “Sexual Healing”, “Too Busy Thinking About My Baby” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, supported by a live band of West End musicians. Nate’s performance captures the depth, phrasing and harmonic sensitivity that made Marvin Gaye one of soul music’s most innovative voices. His seamless shifts between baritone and falsetto and his expressive dynamics reflect a deep understanding of Gaye’s artistry rather than imitation.
