J. Zunz + Das Love is on Sunday 15 November 2026 at Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek, with doors at 15:30. Tickets start at £13.80, including the booking fee.

J. Zunz is the solo project of Mexican musician Lorena Quintanilla, best known as one half of the acclaimed psych-experimental duo Lorelle Meets The Obsolete. Blending hypnotic electronics, haunting vocals, ambient textures and immersive rhythms, J. Zunz creates deeply atmospheric soundscapes that move between minimalism, psychedelia and experimental pop. Her acclaimed releases on Rocket Recordings have earned praise for their emotional intensity and trance-like beauty, making her live performances both captivating and transportive experiences. Das Love is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Rachel Poole. Merging crisp lo-fi rhythms with synthetic textures, live saxophone melodies and vocal harmonies she crafts immersive, cinematic soundscapes that drift fluidly through ambient, downtempo, and organic electronica. This is a matinee show on Sunday 15th Nov - Doors at 3:30pm - A limited amount of early bird tickets are available for just £12.50 + booking fee.

You Oughta be in Pictures

Foxlowe Arts Centre · Leek

Hollywood, the 1940s. A charismatic film director auditions a young actor for a horror movie whose lead has died under mysterious circumstances. As he shares tales of exploitation, broken promises, sex, cults, and the fine line between artifice and truth, it transpires there may be a more malevolent eye than that of the camera in the room. But the horrors on screen were never real – or were they? Award-winning theatre-maker Polis Loizou with a tale to fill you with dread… and doubt. “Loizou’s performance is powerful, chilling and pitch perfect.” – Rialto Arts

Soft Machine

Foxlowe Arts Centre · Leek

Soft Machine is one of the greatest UK avant/jazz-rock bands of all time. Their work, from their earliest performances as a psychedelic band who were contemporaries of Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd and the Jimi Hendrix Experience, all the way to being one of Europe's best known 'fusion' groups, has influenced several generations of bands, and continues to be name-checked by today's hip experimentalists. Whilst the line-up of Soft Machine may have changed many times since the late 1960’s, the band’s spirit of musical adventure, and the ease with which it freely avoids being pigeon holed and can move from powerful progressive jazz fusion to atmospheric psychedelia effortlessly. This is a seated gig.

Olivia Trummer

Divinity School Lecture Theatre · Cambridge

Pianist, singer and composer Olivia Trummer brings her singular artistry, described by Jazzwise as “a joy: eclectic, illuminating and uplifting”, to Cambridge Jazz Festival in an intimate concert of originals, jazz and popular song refreshed with classical allusions and flowing style. Classically-trained, Olivia Trummer impresses equally as a virtuosic pianist, singer, composer and improviser. Her exceptional talent and musical approach have led her to sharing the stage with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Eric Clapton and Bobby McFerrin, performing at festivals like Montreux and Umbria Jazz and at London's Ronnie Scotts. This concert she performs from her solo album "Like Water“, recorded in New York by Russ Titelman (who has worked with many major artists including the Beach Boys, Chaka Kahn and George Harrison), offering songs in English, Italian and German that flow naturally from a classical prelude to a deconstructed jazz standard. Beethoven and Bach blend seamlessless with Stevie Wonder, Sting and Jerome Kern. Olivia's own songs are touching, uplifting and daring, and her scat singing, in perfect unity with the piano, has been compared to George Benson and his guitar. "A lot of jazz...
