Superfriends

JT Soar · Nottingham

Giant Deer are proud to present Superfriends at JT Soar on 28th October! Supported by Fern Veh + Lou Strong. Superfriends have never been shy about wearing their feelings on their sleeves. Their big and bright punk songs, sounding somewhere between Jeff Rosenstock and The Mountain Goats, will hit you like a joyous shot in the arm! They tackle such themes as friendship, identity, and just having a really great time with your pals. Fern Veh is a collaborative indie project led by Ada Gilfoyle, taking influence from the likes of bedroom pop, post-rock, and early 00s indie rock. Expansive, shimmering walls of sound meet intimate hushed vocals, layered harmonies, and delicate melodies. FFO: Broken Social Scene, Carissa's Weird, TWIABP, Foxing, Sufjan Stevens Lou Strong is the stripped-back folk-punk project from Eloise of Cheap Dirty Horse. She channels all the rowdy queer trash folk-punk energy you expect, but with a direct focus on personal story telling £10 ADV All Ages Show BYOB JT ACCESSABILITY INFO.. BMS Mini-Fest 2026: Bach unseen

Sonic Lab, SARC · Belfast

The evening begins with Bach's beloved Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, performed by a solo cellist in traditional concert lighting. As the final notes fade, the space is transformed. Darkness envelops the room and three cellists emerge within a new work inspired by Bach's suite. Drawing on fragments, gestures and resonances from the original music, the performers gradually move throughout the space, continuously altering their relationship to one another and to the audience. Without visual reference points, sound becomes fluid and unpredictable. Melodies appear at a distance, echoes emerge from unexpected directions, and familiar material is reshaped through movement and perspective. The work invites listeners to experience music not as a fixed object on a stage, but as a living presence unfolding all around them. NB: Due to the low-light nature of this concert, late entry will not be permitted. Much of the concert will take place in complete darkness, and for the safety and experience of all audience members, you will not be permitted to leave your seat until the concert has ended.
