A double bill of puppet madness. Starting with Leon’s Alien gameshow. Ever wondered why Aliens visit earth? They love bingo and Leon wants to play bingo with you. You may also get a chance to spin the wheel of fate and could end up playing Alien erection hoopla. Come along and you may win a prize. But don’t worry everyone gets to claim a free badge at the end. Next a short interlude from Liz, the creator of this unhinged world, then we crank up the weird till the roof comes off with we have Slightly Psychic Cynthia, my late grandmother who reads palms, minds and anything else she can get her hands on. Cynthia will amaze you with how wrong she can be and how badly she can read minds. This is a show for adults who refuse to grow up! Disclaimer - if you are puppet phobic please don’t come, this show may scar you for life!

Stevie Parker: Big Bloke With Big Jokes

Cock and Hoop · Nottingham

My Birthday Production, in conjunction with Darth Vader Felt My, Presents Stevie Parker - Big Bloke with Big Jokes Expect something old, something new, something borrowed, nothing (ish) blue. AND NOT ONLY THAT a WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT of 1001 Jokes (in Order) in 55 minutes will be Attempted at Each Show. This is a Work in Progress and not a Contractual Binding Legal Commitment that it will be achieved on the night. This event has never been reviewed by anyone (except for the Mrs who said it was Rubbish!!!), so you could be the first and who knows also witness the premiere of the successful World Record Attempt. I’ve been telling stories and ‘Dad’ Jokes ever since I can remember. In fact, ever since Dad jokes were just Toddler jokes. Now, however, my jokes are 'Full Groan' and my stories are too. I will reference my childhood and memory constantly throughout the Show. Coincidentally, my first ever memory was being dragged to the optician by my dad, everything before that was a blur!! I started out for real after going down proper with the ‘Comedy bug’ a couple of years ago. I did open Mics wherever I could and often did slots at Music sessions just to gain experience and tim...

Jürgen Strack: Achtung! The Germans are Coming

Cock and Hoop · Nottingham

Achtung! The Germans Are Coming is the first solo show in Nottingham from German comedian Jürgen Strack, arriving hot on the heels of his Edinburgh Fringe run. Blending storytelling, character comedy, and sharply observed cultural chaos, Strack explores what happens when precision meets honest foolishness - and why it rarely ends well. Expect tales of misunderstanding, over-interpretation, and the peculiar logic of a man trying to make sense of Britain while insisting everything can be improved with structure. Part stand-up, part social experiment, part accidental philosophy lecture - all delivered with unapologetic Jürgen logic and energy. Expect controlled chaos, questionable logic, and unexpectedly large quantities of sauerkraut.

Saul Henry: The Church of Saulentology

Cock and Hoop · Nottingham

Saul Henry returns with his latest solo comedy Work In Progress show where he asks: 'Why join a cult when you can start your own?' Raised by atheists (with a Mormon Nana), Saul has spent his life chasing happiness, exploring oddball beliefs and cults, and dabbling in spiritual practices—until he accidentally almost joined one himself. Now, when companies, billionaires and tech bros command followings that would make cult leaders weep with envy, what isn't a cult these days? In 'The Church of Saulentology', Saul reaches his enlightened conclusion: true happiness means inventing your own ridiculous doctrine. And he's here to show you how- featuring a deeply unsettling Childcatcher-Colonel Sanders-Noseybonk-like figure who serenades unsuspecting chickens into the fold. Irreverent, thought-provoking, and absurdly funny. Tithing not required, but blind devotion is encouraged.
