The celebrated partnership of “one of the UK’s greatest guitarists” (BBC RADIO 2) with “the doyenne of Irish harpers” (SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY) and recipient of Irish traditional music’s most prestigious award, Musician of the Year (Gradam Ceoil TG4), has toured in twenty-four countries on five continents to venues ranging from tiny village halls to palaces in Kyoto and Istanbul, London’s Barbican, Cologne's Philharmonie, and Town Halls from Sydney to Seattle. Expect a breathtaking blend of traditional Irish music, hot jazz, bluegrass and baroque, spiced with striking new compositions - and Chris’ subversive wit! “Dazzling virtuosity” THE DAILY TELEGRAPH www.maireandchris.com “This celebrated duo took the place by storm. Stately Carolan tunes, jazzy Django-ish numbers, dazzling Doc Watson style flat picking fliers, driving Irish dance tunes - this pair can nonchalantly do the lot. Guitar players applauded and went sadly home to burn their instruments!” THE BELFAST TELEGRAPH (Ireland) Pre-show meals bookable in advance via Barbara on 01326 340630

Shane Pendergast and Lucy Farrell

Falmouth The Tolmen Centre · Constantine

Lucy Farrell, a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner, is celebrated for her poetic songwriting, unconventional melodies, and the crystalline clarity of her voice. Known for her work with The Furrow Collective, Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band, and a host of other acclaimed collaborations, Farrell has carved out a singular place in English folk with her elegant, understated tenor guitar and viola arrangements. Her solo work reveals a deep lyricism and a rare ability to make the strange feel familiar, and the familiar feel extraordinary. Shane Pendergast, hailing from Prince Edward Island, Canada, carries forward a long lineage of Maritime storytellers and songkeepers. A troubadour of the East Coast, his plainspoken yet profound songwriting has earned him recognition at folk festivals worldwide, as well as Contemporary Roots Album of the Year at the Music PEI Awards for Second Wind (2021). His 2025 release Winter Grace offers a deeply personal reflection on the joys and hardships of life in the Maritimes. Together, Farrell and Pendergast embody the living, breathing spirit of folk music: rooted in tradition, yet unafraid to tread new ground. With voices that echo across oceans, their colla...

Hannah Maxwell presents TURN YOUR F***ING PHONES OFF

Falmouth The Tolmen Centre · Constantine

Fresh from a sellout award-winning run at the Fringe this summer we welcome back Hannah with her acclaimed new show. The title sounds like an instruction, but is actually a note to self. It's her own phone she is worried about - the hold it has on her and the data she provides it with. As she goes into digital detox she retreats from doomscrolling and dopamine hits but has an even greater fear of what she sees as a fundamental assault on democracy. In this tremendous show she delivers this analysis with equal parts fervour and merriment! Here are some awards for this show from the Fringe: Fringe First, Stage Fringe Five, Bragi Award and List, LGBTQIA+ Award shortlist - and numerous four and five star reviews. Check out Hannah's own website for details Pre show suppers available from Cafe Tolmen Phone Barbara on 01326 340630 to book
