About this event

Manchester Improv Wednesdays is on Wednesday 18 November 2026 at The English Lounge, Manchester, with doors at 19:00. Tickets start at £6, including the booking fee.

An evening of fully improvised comedy - every Wednesday The Line Up.... Vacuous Dullards Live Two men. Zero social graces. Recorded on magnetic tape. Vacuous Dullards documents the audio archives of Mark a self-appointed "analogue lifelogger" and his best friend Mike. Having exhausted the quiet comfort of railway platforms, the two avid trainspotters have made the brave, ill-advised decision to broaden their adventures by visiting other British "places of interest." You decide where they visit and then sit back and eavesdrop on the unscripted agony of two deeply awkward homebodies attempting to interact in general public. Vacuous Dullards Live is performed by: Mike Burton, Fergus Wynne and Mark Smith If you are interested you can follow along for field trips and tape hiss at the Vacuous Dullards podcast: Available on Spotify, Apple podcasts and Amazon music. Produced and engineered by: Neely Gale What our audiences are saying: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Sublime, silly and yet an utterly recognisable slice of absurdist cake..." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Eccentric and great improv. Loved it." Improv On Demand Want to see Doctor Who save the universe from a 50-foot Duncan B...

Tall Tales - Hilarious sketches improvised by a supergroup of improvisers, all inspired by stories and new material from this month's guest - Paul Campbell Paul Campbell has been performing stand up since 2018. His aim is to be known as a Supermarket exclusive comedian based on his love of the now defunct Somerfield and the very much still in business Heron Food. He has performed all over the country. He won the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality in 2025. 'A show to fall in love with' Scotsman ***** My! That Improv My! That Improv are a group of comedians making completely improvised plays grounded in real human emotion, with a tinge of the absurd brought in for good measure. We put the 'real' in surreal, the 'ant' in fantastic, and the 'unded' in grounded.
