Following our fantastic sold-out 2025 & 2026 Vasilopita events, we are excited to present to you our Vasilopita Party for 2027! We’re staying at the fantastic Taproom @ The Tap Social Movement in Botley and this year we have TWO brilliant bands to play live music from Crete and The Islands of Greece! Flying direct from Greece, the amazing traditional Greek band 'Ξέφραγο Αμπέλι' (Xefrago Ampeli) will take you on a musical journey around the Greek islands in what will be their DEBUT UK PERFORMANCE! London/Reading based traditional Cretan duo 'Κοντυλιέρηδες' (Kondylierides) will be back in Oxford to present the very best of traditional Cretan folk music! Oxford Greek Dancing invites you to an evening of traditional Greek music and dancing and the cutting of the Vasilopita (the Greek New Year's cake). Will you be the lucky one to find the coin in the cake? Oxford Greek Dancing will give a display of traditional Greek dancing. The floor will then be opened up for the 'glendi' and we invite you all to come and dance until you drop.
