As part of our 16th Birthday celebrations we are over the moon to bring back one of our exiled Hartlepool son's after 3yrs away, and PinDrop favourite, who will be bringing some of his Red Meat Orchestra to perform his new songs from his recent and already critically acclaimed 'Monkey Hanger' Album, as well as brand new '1989' EP, and of course songs from his back catalogue inc Moses classics. PAUL MOSLEY Hartlepool born composer Paul Mosley has travelled the world making music that mixes classic old school 70’s singer-songwriter stylings with a theatre composers ear for the ‘beautifully strange’ (**, NARC) . His latest album ‘Monkey Hanger’ is a funny and moving song-cycle about memory, belonging and growing up in 1980s Hartlepool. God Is in the TV called it “a mighty fine album - worthy of any end-of-year list ****’, and Music Mecca described it as “HIs best album: explorative, reassuring and introspective.****” Paul has played everywhere from Glastonbury Festival to an Amsterdam brothel with Icelandic farmers choirs and Danish puppets. Ordinary Giants

Labour Club · Glossop

Ordinary Giants is a song suite by acclaimed songwriter Robb Johnson based on the life and times of his father, Ron Johnson. A family history of the 1930s, the Second World War and the Welfare State — told through songs, spoken word, personal memory and the lives of ordinary people. There are songs and spoken-word pieces about the social realities of the 1930s, the growth of fascism, the experience of the Second World War, the NHS, comprehensive schools, anti-racism and attacks on the Welfare State by the Right. Some of the songs are funny, some are sad, some are love songs and some are political satires.

Betsey Trotwood · London

Welcome one and all to the glorious sound of the Thames Delta, coming at you live and direct from Southend-on-Sea - albeit in the middle of London. First up, garage indie rockers Invaders give forth a sound that is made from 4 cups of estuary mud, a large measurement of swagger and a heavy helping of groove. After a nerve-calming pint or three, you’ll be ready for Permanent Firmament to take the stage - Southend alumni playing songs by the Cusack/Son Of Buff/Adjustment songwriter Lance Baldock, with a sound that sips from the early Fannies, sludgy Neil Young cup with a dollop of indie-powerpop and shades of early Wilco. You’re probably on the spirits by now but Dark Globes bring their melodically driven noise-pop, lo-fi garage rock, and folk-pop infused with gentle psychedelic rock and ringing guitars. Finally - if you are still with us - The Bromides are a London-based (but big in Southend!) alternative noise-pop and garage rock band fronted by singer, guitarist, and Scratchy Records founder Simon Berridge, who also performs as Simon Bromide.
