🎭 Princess Ida – A Gilbert & Sullivan Classic with a Modern Twist 🎭 Step into the world of Princess Ida, Gilbert & Sullivan's witty and enchanting comic opera that explores love, education, equality, and the eternal battle of the sexes. Princess Ida has founded Castle Adamant, a university where women can pursue learning free from the distractions of men. However, when her long-promised fiancé, Prince Hilarion, arrives determined to win her heart, the stage is set for disguises, misunderstandings, soaring melodies, and plenty of comic chaos. Featuring some of Gilbert & Sullivan's most beautiful music, memorable characters, and clever humour, Princess Ida remains as thought-provoking as it is entertaining. Beneath the comedy lies a surprisingly modern story about independence, ambition, and finding common ground. Whether you're a lifelong Gilbert & Sullivan fan or completely new to operetta, Princess Ida offers a delightful mix of laughter, romance, and spectacular ensemble singing. Join us as we bring this rarely performed gem to life!
