ROBERT VINCENT RETURNS! NEW ALBUM LAUNCH - OFFICIAL RELEASE APRIL 2ND 2027. ROBERT VINCENT'S new album "Separate the Fiction from the Fact" will without doubt cement his emergence as one of Britain's best singer/songwriters. He penned the UK AMERICANA MUSIC ASSOCIATION AWARDS 2025 UK Song Of The Year WINNER - the anthemic ‘Follow What You Love & Love Will Follow’ - and received a 2025 UK Artist of The Year Nomination. His album "Barriers" was rated 4* by our favourite music mag MOJO and AMERICANA said ‘If anyone has any lingering doubts about Robert Vincent’s standing as one of the best British songwriters then a listen to ‘Barriers’ should banish those doubts forever. Definitely a contender for Album of The Year’. ROCKING MAGPIE said ‘Robert has transcended that [Americana] genre and is now a Singer Songwriter…without actual musical barriers’. BOB HARRIS OBE (BBC Radio 2) said "The moment he started to sing I knew that this was something special". Robert is no overnight sensation and has toured the UK extensively and beyond with his band and as a solo artist. September 2024 saw Robert perform an official showcase at AmericanaFest in Nashville and the year culmi...

Bob Fox & Stu Luckley

Cubley Hall Hotel · Penistone

THEY'RE BACK !!! Bob Fox & Stu Luckley hit the folk scene back in the day as the most innovative and entertaining of duos on the acoustic Live Music scene. With Bob's mellifluous vocals and great guitar work and Stu playing acoustic bass as if he's just flown in from a rock band, they produced a sound that really hadn't been heard before. We're so pleased that Cubley Hall has been chosen by them to revisit past masterpieces and present their current music which is bang up to date! READ ON! After spending 5 years as a floor singer around the many folk clubs in the North East of England as well as being a resident singer at the famous Davylamp Folk Club in Washington, Bob Fox met fellow North Easterner Tom McConville and his career as a professional folk singer/musician began. 1975 In the duo with Tom he toured the vibrant folk club scene of mid 70's Britain playing a mixture of Irish and Scottish dance music and singing mainly traditional songs primarily from their native North East, Tom on fiddle and Bob playing guitar and piano. After 2 very successful years Bob and Tom parted company and the duo with ex Hedgehog Pie man Stu Luckley was formed. This proved to be one of the most in...

THE HUNCH at CUBLEY HALL

Cubley Hall Hotel · Penistone

Not that long ago The Hunch were described as an 'up-coming' band of very experienced musicians from the Folk, Roots, Celtic & Soul Scene.... but now they've more than attived with some notable Festival Dates ahead and behind them. Not to be Missed. Five musicians at the top of their game, honed from years of performance. With talent in great measure, they showcase their creativity & technical brilliance in every song. Intriguingly crafted classics and soul searching ballads shine with five-part harmonies and instrumental virtuosity, all introduced with dry wit and audacious humour. A unique band ….. to see them is a must. Mick Doonan was a founder member of the legendary 70s folk-rock band Hedgehog Pie and comes from the famous Tyneside dynasty. John Doonan Snr, was an All-Ireland flute champion. Michael also fronts The Mighty Doonan’s folk-rock band. In The Hunch he provides vocals as well as flutes and pipes. Bob Thomas fronted another highly respected folk-rock outfit, Kitsyke Will, and has since lent his wonderful soul-inflected vocal style to The Solicitors, as well as singing, playing percussion and harmonica with The Hunch. Alongside these two are the stunning acoustic...
