Romeo Stodart is the lead singer/songwriter in the much loved London based rock n roll harmony group The Magic Numbers. The band comprising of two pairs of brothers and sisters have released five critically acclaimed albums thus far including the self-titled Mercury Music Prize nominated, million selling debut. Alongside The Magic Numbers, Romeo has collaborated with a vast array of artists including writing songs for & with the late Jane Birkin, Edwyn Collins, Amadou & Mariam, The Chemical Brothers and Ren Harvieu, producing records for Billy Bragg, Natalie Imbruglia & Kathryn Williams to name a few. He has also contributed his unique guitar playing style to various projects, adding banjo, guitar & harmonies on the Spiritualized album, Sweet Heart Sweet Light, touring with Jimmy Webb & The Webb Brothers to playing as part of Damon Albarn’s Africa Express collective. Romeo is currently putting the finishing touches to a new Magic Numbers album due to be released early next year. At Limehouse de Reverie Ewan Bleach performs with residents The Cable Street Rag Band. As the name suggests, they are a band that formed at the Cable Street studios in Limehouse who play Rags. But that is not all. This is a old-style jazz band that also plays blues, song-book foxtrots and swing numbers along with occasional other dance music from around the world, including waltzes, beguines, tangos and the odd polkas, All of their repertoire dates from the 1850s-1940s.
