About this event

Testaments is on Wednesday 25 November 2026 at Green Note, London, with doors at 19:30. Tickets start at £13.20, including the booking fee.

Testaments are a London-based romantic jazz trio led by bassist and songwriter Mark McQuillan, featuring Rebecka Edlund on vocals, Dom Howard on guitar and Mark McQuillan on double bass. Their music combines detailed songwriting with improvisational freedom built into the arrangements, leading songs to change substantially from one performance to the next. The music moves between sparse, intimate sections and much louder, more chaotic peaks, while the song and lyrics remain the anchor throughout. Rebecka Edlund’s theatrical vocal style is central to the sound, and Testaments aim to take listeners through a wide range of emotions, from ecstatic joy to tenderness and mourning.time they play.

Amy Winehouse by Lucy Randell

Boisdale of Canary Wharf · London

“It’s rare you see such an effortless talent. Lucy is charismatic and cool through and through.” – Mathew Bridgeman, Promoter Lucy Randell approaches Amy Winehouse’s catalogue with a deep respect for its musical complexity. She emphasizes timing, phrasing and tonal contrast, the way Winehouse would land a word just behind the beat or hang a note into silence, rather than surface imitation. Lucy rejects mimicry; she interprets the songs through her own jazz and soul sensibility. Her career includes features with session groups and appearances around the UK and Australia, and she has performed at venues like Ronnie Scott’s, The Jazz Café and KOKO, stages Amy herself frequented. In a Camden Market event, Lucy articulated her method: “To sing Amy Winehouse you have to recognise that rhythm and tonal texture, and her timing. You really have to listen to how she lands her syllables.” Camden New Journal Expect a set drawn from Back to Black and Frank, delivered with Lucy’s own instrumentation and arrangements. Highlights often include “Valerie,” “Tears Dry On Their Own,” “Rehab,” “Back to Black,” “Love Is a Losing Game”. She yields space for the band...

This one-off event promises to be an immersive experience, not to be missed by those who like their prog with a harder edge. "'Qisma' is an allegory for the moment that we're living through," reflects vocalist Matt Young. "It's a fully fledged concept album, like a rock opera but told with a single voice from a single perspective, for the most part. We're really excited about presenting the album live in this way, and a beautiful and captivating venue like The Bedford is the perfect place to make such an ambitious undertaking." STELLAR KNIGHTS is a London-based rock duo formed during the pandemic by vocalist Stella and guitarist Duncan. They take inspiration from gothic rock, metal, and progressive music, blending heavy rif...
