Nothing to see here ladies and gentleman, please return to your place of work in a calm and orderly manner and resume your productive activities. Oh that? That’s nothing. Well… I mean obviously it’s something, but I can assure you it’s nothing you should concern yourself with. Just a bit of trouble in a far off land. Just a few bad apples getting up to mischief on a naughty island. Just a little bit of white supremacy dressed up as patriotism. Nothing a good cup of tea can’t sort out. Look, Gogglebox has just started… you like that don’t you? Of course you do, who doesn’t! Just sit back and watch some people on telly watching some other people on telly. We’ll take care of all this nonsense, it’s all under control… This October, The Undercover Hippy are on tour once again, promoting the release of their new single “Nothing To See Here”. As always, the band uses their music to draw attention to the issues that those in power would rather you ignored. But ignorance is no longer an option. Everyone is in this together and we will all pay the price of choosing to look away. So let’s gather together once again, join our voices in unison, bounce our bodies arou...

Love singing? Join us for a special Come & Sing of Schubert's Mass in G, led by the outstanding Thomas Allery. Whether you’re a regular choir member, an experienced singer, or simply fancy spending a day singing some beautiful choral music, you’ll be very welcome. Thomas Allery is a London-based conductor, organist and harpsichordist with a varied career spanning choral music, historical performance and teaching. In 2023, he was appointed Director of Music at Temple Church in London, where he directs and trains the professional choirs and leads the church’s choral education programme. Having studied at the University of Oxford, the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Thomas brings a wealth of musical knowledge and experience to his work. He is also a founding member of the award-winning period ensemble Ensemble Hesperi and teaches basso continuo at the Royal College of Music. We’re delighted to welcome Thomas back to Kent having previously been Organ Scholar at Canterbury Cathedral. Date change! This is now happening on Halloween itself - Saturday October 31st! A Halloween edition of our all-ages daytime disco! Come and dance to indie pop, northern soul, and Motown, with some spooky gems and graveyard smashes thrown in for good measure. And, of course, if you feel like dressing up, then please do! Come and rattle your bones to "There's A Ghost In My House". "Monster Mash", and lots lots more! We've held the HDIF Children's disco at the End Of The Road festival since 2011, and they've been lots and lots of fun. We play our usual mixture of indie pop and soul, and the discos are a wonderful opportunity for kids to bop around to Belle & Sebastian, Allo Darlin', Ramones, Pixies and more, and for their parents to bop along with them. It can often be hard to get out to club nights once you become a parent, so these discos are as much a chance for the parents to go out dancing as they are for the kids. We also want to provide an alternative to the many rave-themed kids discos that are on offer in London. If you'd rather dance to your favourite indie pop and Motown songs with your children, then we're the disco for you! Music will be played at a reasonable level. We'l...

Lunch reservations from 12pm | Live music from 1pm to 3pm | DJ from 12pm to 4pm By the time The R&B Collective takes the stage, the room is already warmed up. The DJ starts from midday, lunch is on the table and the soundtrack is pure 90s and 00s R&B. After a run of sold-out evening shows, the five-piece band returns to Boisdale with the songs people still know every word to. Expect smooth vocals, rich harmonies, deep basslines and soulful horn lines, with classics inspired by TLC, Usher, Blackstreet, Donell Jones and Ne-Yo. The set moves from slow jams to singalong hooks and dancefloor favourites, bringing the feel of the era into a live setting without overworking it. It is polished, warm and full of those “I forgot how good this song is” moments. A resident DJ keeps things moving from 12pm to 4pm, with classic R&B and soulful throwbacks before and after the live set. Served alongside Boisdale’s three-course lunch, this is a Saturday made for birthdays, catch-ups, celebrations and groups that want good food with a proper soundtrack. The first-floor bar and outdoor terrace are open for post-show drinks until late, subject to availability. BOISDALE OF CANARY WHARF Best Spirit...
