WILL WILDE

The Bullingdon · Oxford

We are SO thrilled to have the fabulous Will Wilde return after a long gap. After years of hard work this looks like this is Will's year.. Having won Instrumentalist of the Year at this year's Blues Awards and even more exciting news, he has been chosen to play on the line up supporting Eric Clapton at Sandringham in August, alongside Ronnie Wood and Andy Fairweather Low. Far more than a traditional Blues harp player, Will Wilde is a force to be reckoned with - a phenomenal harmonica player with a voice to match. Will's intense harmonica style steals the spotlight from the traditional blues rock guitar, with a sound that owes as much to Gary Moore as it does to Sonny Boy Williamson. "I’m always looking to make new sounds with the harmonica, pushing its boundaries, trying to change people’s perception of it.” His You Tube videos brought him to the attention of blues rock guitar legend Walter Trout, who invited him to play on his album 'Broken', which went to number one on the Billboard Blues Album Chart. To return the favour, Walter played guitar on the title track and first single from Will's new album 'The Blues Is Still Alive'. The album reached number one on the IBBA Chart...

OMS Live presents The Samurai Seven

The Bullingdon · Oxford

The Samurai Seven formed in 1997 in Oxford, toured relentlessly and rose to prominence during that year’s Radio One Oxford Sound City event, where they impressed both John Peel and Steve Lamacq. The band recorded five sessions at Maida Vale Studios for John Peel, as well as recording the theme tune to Peel’s Channel Four TV show, “Sound of the Suburbs”. In 2025 the boys returned for some classic shows including Truck Festival, Charlbury Riverside Festival and a sellout show at Oxford’s famous Jericho Tavern, with new material being released in 2026. “It might easily turn out that we love The Samurai Seven” – John Peel, BBC Radio One “Speed-crazed pop bunnies making like The Buzzcocks ripping through The Beach Boys’ book of summer hits” – NME “The Samurai Seven are the punk rock band you can take home to mum; the scuzzy indie stars your kid sister can pin on her bedroom wall and adore. Quite possibly perfect, in other words” – NME “Pristine velocity pop… Spanning the distance between The Beatles first flourishing and the pop-centric nous of The Undertones” – Nightshift Magazine Follow The Samurai Seven here: https://www.facebook.com/the.samurai....
