Having seen these guys perform at two festivals this year I am so pleased to be able to bring them to Reeth. Absolutely beautiful harmonies and fabulous stage craft. Having performed over 800 shows since forming in 2019, True Foxes are an acclaimed alt-country/Americana cousin duo from Cornwall, rapidly gaining recognition across the UK and internationally. Led by Amie’s powerful vocals and soulful songwriting, often compared to Laura Marling and Brandi Carlile, the duo blend acoustic guitar with Chloe’s ethereal harmonies and melodic bass lines. Their honest storytelling, natural chemistry, and warm sisterly banter take audiences on an emotional journey. Their debut album, Howl (2024), received widespread acclaim and extensive radio support, being named Americana Album of the Month by The Country Mile Radio and UK Country Radio, alongside significant airplay across the UK and internationally. The album earned glowing reviews from AmericanaUK, Rocking Magpie, and Fatea Magazine, and saw the duo recognised as BBC Artist of the Week across eight territories. “Sublime harmonies, perfectly crafted songs and a beguiling stage presence” - Mark Radcliffe - (BBC Radio 2) ‘‘Hard...

Recently shortlisted for the FATEA Band/Duo of the Year (2023), their live performances are full of variation, from emotive and dramatic full-bodied ballads, to rip-roaring tales of adventure on the seas. Weaving stories into song, with a strong focus on their Suffolk roots, community and family, they are able to bring a tear to your eye in one moment, and in the next, have you up on your feet. Born and raised in Suffolk, Lucy learned violin and drums at school, sung in the Suffolk Jubilee choir and started songwriting at 15. She taught herself guitar whilst at university in Canterbury and began performing her creations not long afterwards, releasing her debut band album ’Step Right On’ at 27. Jon, a Yorkshire boy, raised in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, has been performing his own songs since his teens. A self-taught guitarist, his love of driving guitar riffs is a core aspect of his song writing process.

Solent Concert Orchestra: Court to Carnival

St Andrew's Centre · Southampton

Conducted by Simon Wilkins, the Solent Concert Orchestra presents Court to Carnival, an afternoon of music inspired by dance. From the stately character of Britten’s Five Courtly Dances to the lively rhythms of Cui’s Tarentella in G Minor and Brahms’s Hungarian Dances, the programme moves through a colourful range of styles and moods. The orchestra will also perform Hérold’s spirited Zampa Overture, Debussy’s playful Children’s Corner Suite and selections from Tchaikovsky’s much-loved ballet music. Together, these works bring the elegance of the court, the magic of the ballet and the energy of the dance floor to the concert hall. BRAHMS Hungarian Dances BRITTEN Five Courtly Dances CUI Tarentella in G Minor DEBUSSY Children's Corner Suite HÉROLD Zampa Overture TCHAIKOVSKY Ballet Selections The Solent Concert Orchestra is a group of amateur musicians from the Southampton, Solent and New Forest area.
