About this event

Warrington Blues Club is on Friday 11 December 2026 at The Bellhouse Olde Barn, Warrington, with doors at 19:15. Tickets start at £16.50, including the booking fee.

For our December show we have invited two of Scotland’s finest blues rock bands to make the journey down from Glasgow for a Double Header of great music. As a finalist in this years Emerging Artist of the Year category in the UK Blues Federation awards, Bison Hip continue to prove that it's never too late to rock with soul, swagger, and a story to tell. Hot on the heels of 2024’s acclaimed album Welcome To The Rest Of Your Life, the band have unleashed their third full length record: Everything That Came Before Was Just Leading Up To This — a title that perfectly captures their journey so far. Formed during a lockdown Zoom call in 2020, Bison Hip bring together five seasoned musicians—four of whom are over 50—with a mission to craft authentic blues-rock that reflects real life and lived experience. "We’ve never tried to be anything we’re not," says frontman Paul Sloway. "This new album feels like the culmination of everything we’ve worked towards." Their music is a gritty, heartfelt blend of pain, loss, joy, and hard -earned optimism—songs that speak to the trials and triumphs of life’s later chapters. As Paul puts it, “We’re getting older, sure—but the be...

In our mission to bring top quality bands from all over the U.K to Warrington we’re excited to have booked The Gerry Jablonski Band. Aberdeen’s internationally acclaimed blues-rock outfit. The Gerry Jablonski Band charged into 2026 with a new weapon in their arsenal—frontman and powerhouse vocalist, Nicky Aiken. A familiar face on the Aberdeen music scene and a former Royal Marine Commando, Aiken trades in military tours for international music tours as he joins the band full-time. The announcement follows a standout guest performance with the band at their Aberdeen show last September, where sparks flew and the chemistry was undeniable. Frontman Gerry Jablonski recalls, “We knew it would take a special kind of lunatic to come aboard this ship of fools. But after that gig, it was clear—we had to take the collaboration further. The music just clicked.” Aiken, who has shared stages with the likes of Marti Pellow and fronted his own band Nicky Aiken and the Temple Sons, was, in his own words, “in between things” when he got the call. A chance supermarket encounter with Jablonski Band harmonica player Pete led to the now-fateful invite. “I think he felt sorry for me,...

The Stumble are the original blues soul survivors and are without doubt one of the very best Live bands on the road today. A blistering mix of blues, soul and old school R&B, The Stumble have been wowing audiences with the energy and virtuosity of their live performances for the past 20 years. Festival favourites in every corner of the UK and Europe, The Stumble are taking their creative talents to a new level with their stupendous 4th album, The Other Side. This is the band that Lazy Lester wanted to take back to the States with him and the band that the blues press widely recognise as one of the strongest live acts that the genre can boast in the UK. The Blues is where it all started for The Stumble, with founding member Colin Black and drummer/songwriter Boyd Tonner both major figures in the new wave blues boom coming out of Glasgow in the 80's and 90's. In recent times the band has learned to embrace a wider spectrum of influences and trust in their musical instincts in order to craft original songs that make both the album experience and the live experience a much more rich and satisfying journey. Simon, Cam, Paul, Luke, Boyd and Colin are all consummate performers who can tur...

Dinner & Table Reservations from 5pm. DJs from 7pm-2am Boisdale has Jools Holland as Patron of Music, a live programme that runs seven nights a week and a NEXO sound system installed because the music demands it.
