Rocketsuit Rogue

The Victoria · Swindon

ROCKETSUIT ROGUE Monday 9th November | The Vic, Swindon | £10 Fronted by RIAA Gold-certified songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist Matty Lewis — best known for his years fronting Zebrahead, where he earned international acclaim, a Gold record, and toured the world, Rocketsuit Rogue is a bold new chapter. Loud, guitar-driven, and built on soaring hooks and anthemic choruses, this is a band shaped by years on the road and driven by a renewed creative fire. Their debut album, produced by Cameron Webb (Pennywise, Motörhead), channels inner struggle, survival, and the search for meaning in a chaotic world, drawing on classic 1950s sci-fi and end-of-the-world cinema to turn personal battles into something cinematic and universal. Expect an electric live show: rocket-powered anthems for the apocalypse, played by a frontman with real pedigree. 📍 The Vic, Swindon 📅 Monday 9th November 🎟️ Tickets £10

Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer

The Victoria · Swindon

After years of twisting Hip-Hop to his Chap-Hop will, Mr.B finally brings you the full story of Rap as only he can tell it - Straight Out Of Surrey. Mr.B invented Chap-Hop in 2007, having spent years as a Britrap hitmaker (anyone remember ‘Eat My Goal’?) and performing with such luminaries as Grandmaster Flash and Gravediggaz. Since then he has travelled the world, from The Royal Albert Hall to Osaka, Banstead to Berlin, Manchester to Minneapolis, Norway to New York and the Edinburgh Fringe to Glastonbury bringing his beats, rhymes and manners, as well as songs about cricket, pipe smoking, high society and interfering with livestock. The album accompanying this tour will be his fifteenth. His videos have garnered millions of views on YouTube and his media appearances have included rapping for Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight, playing live on BBC Radio One for Rob Da Bank, Nick Grimshaw & Scott Mills, on Radio Two for Claudia Winkleman & Steve Lamacq, 6 Music for Tom Robinson & Shaun Keaveny, Radio Four with Diane Morgan, discussing Hip-Hop on Romesh Ranganathan’s podcast and rhyming for Zoe Ball on Sky Arts. Aretha Franklin by Vanessa Haynes of Incognito

Boisdale of Canary Wharf · London

Table reservations from 6pm | Live Music: 8.30pm “Haynes’ voice is nothing short of mesmerising. A standout talent in her own right.” - UK Soul Review “A soulful powerhouse.” - Evening Standard Aretha Franklin is dangerous territory for any singer. The songs demand more than a big voice, they need gospel instinct, soul phrasing and the confidence to hold back before letting the room have it. Vanessa Haynes has that equipment. Best known as a long-time lead vocalist with Incognito, Haynes brings serious soul credentials to the stage. Her career includes work with Van Morrison, Chaka Khan, Billy Ocean, Lulu, Anastacia, Leon Ware, Mario Biondi and Dave Stewart, alongside more than 14 years touring internationally with one of Britain’s most respected jazz-funk bands. Backed by a full live band, she takes on Aretha’s great songbook with the respect and nerve it deserves. Expect "Respect", "(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman", "I Say a Little Prayer", "Chain of Fools", "Think" and "Day Dreaming", songs built on gospel roots, deep soul and absolute emotional command. This is a proper singer meeting proper material, with enough grit, control and feeling to make the tribu...
