Year of the Dog, as seen on Netflix’s Sex Edcuation series, are back at the Marrs Bar, Friday 20th November 2026. This is not just any gig for the brass-house-soul unit, as it is the release date for their debut album, Break Loose, recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios, and produced by Abbey Road’s Rob Cass. An original BBC introducing backed band, expect a night of soulful songs, timeless tunes, and brass blazing bangers. Year of the Dog have just finished their summer season hitting festivals such as Boom Town, Lake Fest, First Light, and closing Isle of Wight’s Kashmir Cafe stage, as well as closing Bristol Harbour Fest main stage, and headlining Hereford’s Wye Float. Supported by local band Molly Gone Mad, and identical twin duo Violet & Gem, this is going to be a night that not only pops off, but will move mind, body, and soul.
