An Evening with M G Boulter at Drake the Bookshop

Drake the Bookshop · Stockton-on-Tees

M G Boulter has been quietly working at creating rich and evocative story songs since 2013. Garnering praise from reviewers like Uncut describing his work as "gorgeous in a word" and R2 listing him as "a weapons grade songwriter", M G creates vignettes of suburban lives and is a contemporary voice in the long tradition of the singer-songwriter. He will be marking the release of his new hardback book and CD project, Tidelines, with this special show at Drake the Bookshop in Stockton. Tidelines collects a selection of M G's essays, as well as an enclosed CD featuring four EPs not previously released on physical media. Interspersed with the collages of artist Adam Gardner, the essays in this collection read like a wonder show of stories and the hidden histories of a seaside town with topics ranging from Indiana Jones actors, lost seaside attractions and the prehistoric sites of Southend-on-Sea to the local rat man myth and Southend’s 1960s Queensway Development. Come join us for this special night of song and storytelling. https://hudsonrecords.co.uk/product/m-g-boulter---tidelines
