The Whileaways

Rugby Club · Salisbury

Critics have counted Noriana Kennedy, Nicola Joyce and Noelie McDonnell “among the finest singers in the country” and their music “deceptively simple and deeply affecting with stunning melodies and harmonies” (Hot Press Magazine) Their beautifully crafted original songs and tightly woven harmonies have garnered high praise from the music press both at home in Ireland and abroad. The band “hollers for a chance to be heard in a live setting, so rich is its lyrical tapestry” (Irish Times) This accomplished trio of songwriters came together in 2012 , having each recorded and toured extensively before joining forces as The Whileaways. They have released four critically acclaimed, award-winning albums since then, touring prestigious festivals and venues worldwide over the past decade. Irish and UK audiences will also know The Whileaways from their sell-out Bird on the Wire tours, a collaboration with singer Pauline Scanlon celebrating the music of Leonard Cohen. The Whileaways eagerly anticipated fifth album will be released in September 2026. Prepare to be spellbound! £2.50 from each ticket goes to Salisbury Hospice Charity. Eamonn & Geraldine Cotter, Maeve Donnelly, and Conor Connolly

Rugby Club · Salisbury

A second very special night of music celebrating the long association between Salisbury, and County Clare in Ireland. Featuring pianist, tin whistle player and musical historian Dr Geraldine Cotter; flute player / maker / teacher Eamonn Cotter; fiddle player Maeve Donnelly, and button accordianist Conor Connolly. Each are masters of their instruments and acclaimed musicians. Last October’s “Celerating the Irish in Salisbury” event went down a storm and we were asked by many people to do it again! Join us for a night of tunes, songs, and memories. Support is from Salisbury’s own “More Christy”. We are very grateful to have received a Salisbury Cultural grant towards this concert. £2.50 from each ticket will go to Salisbury Hospice.
