About this event

Nashville Babylon Presents Angela Autumn is on Sunday 15 November 2026 at Betsey Trotwood, London, with doors at 17:00. Tickets start at £13.20, including the booking fee.

Angela Autumn has always been drawn to the mountains. Raised in the Appalachian region of western Pennsylvania, she channels that landscape in her voice, funneling the timeless influence of mountain streams and rolling foothills into her genre-bending folksongs. With her second album, though, she proves she's every bit as interested in the modern age as tradition. Believer is a musical melting pot of a record, blending the mountain music of Autumn's past with the hybridized sounds (including indie, psychedelia, pop, and gothic country) of her present. Audiences still call her "The Rose of Appalachia" — a nickname that nods to the Allegheny roots and clawhammer banjo skills that helped her blossom into a critically-beloved solo artist — but Believer showcases the other flowers in her garden, making room for keyboards, cello, and billowing clouds of reverb. The result is an eclectic record that captures Autumn in full bloom, pushing beyond the primitive twang of her Appalachian influences to chase down a cross-pollinated sound of her own making. Angela will be joined by special guest Esme White, a New York-born, London-based singer-songwriter whose songs draw on poetry, myth, and...

SE x EC1

Betsey Trotwood · London

Welcome one and all to the glorious sound of the Thames Delta, coming at you live and direct from Southend-on-Sea - albeit in the middle of London. First up, garage indie rockers Invaders give forth a sound that is made from 4 cups of estuary mud, a large measurement of swagger and a heavy helping of groove. After a nerve-calming pint or three, you’ll be ready for Permanent Firmament to take the stage - Southend alumni playing songs by the Cusack/Son Of Buff/Adjustment songwriter Lance Baldock, with a sound that sips from the early Fannies, sludgy Neil Young cup with a dollop of indie-powerpop and shades of early Wilco. You’re probably on the spirits by now but Dark Globes bring their melodically driven noise-pop, lo-fi garage rock, and folk-pop infused with gentle psychedelic rock and ringing guitars. Finally - if you are still with us - The Bromides are a London-based (but big in Southend!) alternative noise-pop and garage rock band fronted by singer, guitarist, and Scratchy Records founder Simon Berridge, who also performs as Simon Bromide.

Sunday Jazz Lunch | Frank Sinatra

Boisdale of Canary Wharf · London

“Stephen Triffitt is the best. The greatest. Because he captures the soul of my Father.” — Frank Sinatra Jr. Some performers study Sinatra. Stephen Triffitt inhabits him. Direct from Las Vegas, he brings a show built on timing, phrasing and the quiet confidence that defined Sinatra at his peak. From "My Way" and "New York, New York" to "I’ve Got You Under My Skin" and "That’s Life", the set moves through songs that were written to be lived in, not just sung. Backed by a superb live band, Triffitt delivers them with control and ease, letting the arrangements breathe while keeping that unmistakable swing intact. His credentials are not decorative. Triffitt starred as Sinatra in the original West End production of The Rat Pack Live and has sold out the London Palladium, building a reputation as one of the most respected interpreters of this music anywhere. This is Sinatra as it works best, up close, well played and without excess. Alongside the performance, guests can enjoy Boisdale’s two-course Sunday lunch, including the 18-hour slow-roasted dry-aged rib of Scottish beef, goose fat roast potatoes and classic sides, with vegetarian options also available.
